A quick word about how I got here.
Not because my story matters more than yours, but because if any of it sounds familiar, you'll know I understand exactly where you're standing.
I don't have a finance degree. My background is in hospitality.
For most of my life I believed that people like me, without the right diploma or the right vocabulary, couldn't really understand investing.
So I left our finances in my husband's hands, the way I'd been taught a wife does.
Then in 2020, pregnant with our third child in Doha, I told him the news. His first words were "what are we going to do? We don't have any money."
Something in me went very quiet, and very clear. If change was going to come, it was going to come from me.
So I learned. And it turned out almost nothing about building wealth required the things I'd been told it did. It required a clear method, followed consistently.
In six years our family net worth went from $200K to over $700K. Through COVID, market crashes, and political turbulence. On about an hour a month.
